Hi all,

just ordered my cloud ibox 2 and was looking for some help with a few things. First of all can somebody recommend a solid image that won't brick my box, preferablly a back up if poss?

Secondly, is there a guide anywhere on how to install a channel list, or is it a case of using ABM maker inside the image?

Last of all, is there a guide on how to install a ccam or newcamd file to the box?

Any help would be appeciated,

Cheers

Thanks mate, are there any I should avoid, or any in particular that seem to work well?

All the backups and images have been tested by members and staff.

None to avoid just pick your favourite image group. If you dont have one try OpenATV

Ok cheers mate, just read something in another thread that said to avoid images after 17/05? That right?

We have no images after that date to my knowledge as some boxes get bricked by the new bootloaders and its not yet clear how to identify all airsat claim are clone.

Ok cheers mate. I've just tried installing a back up image from 23/04 and put the xpeedlx folder onto usb stick, put it in the back and then powered on but nothing happens? The box just boots up as normal, the front screen reads... boot, and then LC-c, and then just get a standard openpli screen and then a box pops up to say service unavailable, check tuner config

So im taking it you mean the image did not flash ? It just booted your old image ?

If so look in the xpeed folder and rename the noforce file to force and try again in back usb slot leav it for at least 10 mins after powering on.

Yes mate, it just booted the image that was already installed on the box, did not read the usb stick at all by the looks of it?

the file in the xpeed folder is already called force, its a back up you created I think.

Do I just power the box up as normal and leave it for 10mins? Will that do anything differently?

Am I able to use the openpli image already installed on the box? If so, how do I install a local extension on this image?

Cheers

Reformat your usb stick fat 32

Send over the folder pop it in back usb and power the box on leave for 10 mins front display in forced mode wont show anything.

If that does not work try another USB

Only other thing that would stop the image flashing is if the image your on now is running the new bootloader or a image after the 18th of may, if that's the case these images here wont work.

Ok thanks mate. I've got the box up and running with the openpli image that came with it. I've ftp'd my ccam into the var/etc folder and got it up and running.

The channels are a bit of a mess, am I able to install a channel list or bouquet maker?

If you go Menu_plugins then press the green button

Your find auto bouquets for download there.

Or you can use Rats Bouquets from the download section.

Cheers mate, crossepg doesn't seem to be working, the epg doesn't update when I download? Do I need to do anything?

ok cheers mate. Where do I install the I ok file? Is it into the temp folder?

How so I manual install in openpli image? Can't see anything in menu?

Transfer the file to tmp folder

Then via the plugin menu youll see the software manager plugin use that to install it.

thanks mate, tried the above and it doesn't seem to install. Says done - 0 packages installed?

do you think the image I have is too recent? I'm able to download plugins from the internal feed but I'm not able to re-flash and I'm not able to manual install plugins?

should install ok

try telnet command

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

HI mate,

Telnet is just an app on your pc which lets you communicate with the box (amongst other things). You have to switch it on in windows usually - so for win 7 for example:

Go to Control Panel
Programs
Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check Telnet Client
press OK

Then

click Start
type in the search box> cmd
then type> telnet 192.168.1.** (insert your boxes IP address in at the ** part - you can get this in the network test if you look thru the menus)

Logon username> root

hope this helps
