How to- fix red light issue on cloud ibox receivers

You will need to prepare (format) a blank USB stick. (FAT32)

1. Download and then un-zip the file and copy the whole folder "vuplus" including all subfolders and files to the root of the formatted usb stick. ( inside the vuplus, there is a subfolder "solo" and inside that subfolder there are three files "root_cfe_auto.jffs2" ,"kernel_cfe_auto.bin" and "boot_cfe_auto.jffs2")

2. Power off the cloud ibox with the rear connector/switch.

3.Now Insert the USB stick.

4. Power on the cloud ibox via the rear connector/switch, it will automatically read the files from USB stick.

5. Wait until the upgrade is completed (Do not power off the cloud ibox during upgrading, do not pull out the usb stick) it will be approx 5 mins depending on which image is loading.

6. Switch of receiver via rear switch and remove the USB stick
.
7.Turn on the power and your Cloud ibox receiver will reboot with the new image installed.

100% fix

Feel free to post any other useful cloud ibox topics in the cloud ibox forums :)

Regards
Mick

This forum pointless like this topic. People don't waste your time.

Hi there that all depends on what kind of box you have and where you got it from as i know personally that there are 3 different versions of could ibox 4 and they all have their own flash files. I have flashed two cloud ibox 4. Would be happy to help but I am kinda a newbie myself

hi guys bit new do all this just got a cloud ibox4 it had open pli on it. did not like it so i put
[h=2]cloud ibox4-BlackHole-2.0.9-20140901[/h]work ok till i put cccam on. after reboot all i get is now red light and i cant re flash.any help would be appreciated

Ive had something similar happen to me couple daysa go. Did you have an internal or external hard drive fitted?

Ok then cos i was running on a theory that it was the lack of memory so ive ordered the internal hard drives. I checked out most the images and was stuck between blackhole and open pli 3.0 open pli 4 is till beta and has a few different problems. I read blackhole was the mos stable image for the vu clones

Still to fix it mate was thinking about flashing OpenPli 3.0 or BlackHole. Not decided yet. Just getting all the addons i need together first.

how can i tell what version of could ibox 4 ive got

if you can talnet your box with this { cat /proc/cpuinfo } for the info of your box model thanks to satboxer ,and if you google the name of your box you will find the forum for your box and the answers you need .

Hi everyone!

If been pointed to this thread by Ferret from here: https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/download-vu-plugins-582/370094-download-vu-solo-clone-7.html

I have a cloud-i box V2 (I think)
Mainboard 2012-05-12
AIR900HD-R2.32
BN:02110001
S/N:MC6400660

Cloud ibox.JPG

It originally came with OpenPLI 4.0. I've tried to flash it with USB with cfe_solo_2.0 bootloader and tried a dozen different images allready, but all I get is a blue light which flashes if I press any key on the remote, but no video output (HDMI or RCA). Unfortunately I didn't do a back-up before flashing, 'cos everyone on the forums just made it sound so easy... :-/

The link at the top of this thread points to a hole pile of images. Anybody know which one I should be using? Do I need a different bootloader? Do I have to jtag the box, and if yes how?

Thanks in advance for your help!

P.S.: If I'm wrong here, please hint where I should post my questions.

Use the files in this thread to redo what you did with the solo files

Then flash this image

https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?resources/2328/

It says its for the openbox 6000 this is another solo clone and this image should work fine on your ibox.
