2 cnuts on the loose, hope they get them. How low can you get to steal money from a charity.

A couple have been caught on a CCTV camera apparently stealing a full Poppy Appeal can from a petrol station. CCTV pictures captured the carefully-planned theft at an Esso garage in the shadow of Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.
Station manager Craig Campbell, 34, described the thieves as "the lowest of the low" adding there could have been £100 in the tin.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said:"We are aware of this taking place and our investigations are on-going."
Mr Campbell continued: "This was no random theft it was clearly planned beforehand.
"It makes me wonder if they have not tried this at other locations. There was possibly £100 in that tin and it was meant for war heroes."
A spokeswoman for Poppyscotland said: "We also think thefts like this are despicable.
"All the money in that tin would have gone to help veterans and their families.
"Now that help has been taken away from them."

dirty scum low life cowards.

i know they shouldn't have to, but these poppy tins should be chained to the counter.

id rather some poor get got it than it disappear into nowhere )

odd what makes peoples blood boil

personally I think the fact that people need to rely on the money from tins on petrol station counters when they've fought for their country just a little offensive

I mean who's the real crooks here - the lowlife crackheads who took the tin or the corrupt uncaring goverment that makes it's existence neccessary?

Which corrupt uncaring Government did you have in mind? We've had Poppy Days since 1921.

...and supposing we did do away with them and the Government put up an equivalent amount of money? Where(or who) do you think the money would come from? I don't think we need three guesses.

I'd rather buy my poppy. It cuts out the middleman, and at least I can be sure where the money is going.

pretty much all of them (governments)

why would you think it would be wrong for taxpayers to pay for veterans - as thats what you are implying - surely this would be better than to hope that some passing someone is feeling generous (which is the basis of all charities) - glorified begging in other words

dont we have an obligation to these people? all of us? in which case why would funding from central government be an issue? even if we do have to pay "extra" tax for it

they shouldnt be reduced to begging by proxy - which is the current state of affairs

happened where i work too, two c***s with empty pram nicked one from our cafe and another from reception desk, got em on cctv but boss wont go any further.......******
