With prices for decent cams now affordable these are becoming more popular

Just wondered how many members use one and if you have captured much on it :)

I brought one yesterday and today got a car pulling out in front of me, I'm doing 50mph on a A road
a little further down the same road a push bike did the same, didnt even look

I think this could be well worth the money lol

Point it out your passenger window @Rat you will be amazed the amount of people driving and Texting at the same time particularly women. :(

Customer of ours pulled into our yard this week on his motorbike and saw the owner of the company with a dash cam, first words out his mouth were you "dashcam ******".

Strange that as most motorcycles round here have cams on there helmets

I use my phone Xperia Z3+ phone as my dash cam, via the Autoguard app. Auto connects to bluetooth car stereo and automatically starts recording.

I only started driving in June 2015, and within the first month nearly drove into a Police car (not my fault i might add) who's driver wasn't paying attention to a new layout of a local road and decided to pull out in front of me. After this i started using my phone for the dashcam.

I have noticed all the bikers kitted out with it on there helmets they must be double wankers.

he was joking when saying it but he did say that is stopped him doing some silly overtaking.

I bought one around a year ago for my pick-up (work motor) Mini 0806 Dash Camera as I kept getting people doing things like in your experience, I must have half a dozen instances of people cutting in front of me, pulling out in front etc, it will be well worth it when an accident happens and the other driver denies what they have done. does yours record your speed and gps position? what software do you use to view the footage?

I have the Mini 0806 without the GPS for speed/Location etc.. due to the fact of the many reviews saying that if you used this in an insurance case and you where speeding even just a little then you leave yourself wide open.

My advice buy one without the GPS and speed etc..

I went for the Cobra CDR835

Nice little camera tbh,got good reviews and top end of the budget range, I decided not to have GPS and speed too @digi247

I've caught a fair few things on it too lol

I was thinking about buying one for a while but what made my mind up was
Where I live there are a lot of fields and a reserve and this brings scramblers and quads that also drive like nutters on the roads to get there (not road legal)

On this particular day I was going out in the van and there was parked cars on both sides of the road and a bus at the stop, 2 scramblers and a quad come tearing through weaving in and out of the traffic but what I see scared the life out of me
The quad was being rode by a guy in his early to mid 30's with a child of 4 or 5 years old on the quads handle bars :(
now if the quad turned the bars suddenly and the young boy lost balance I dread to think of the outcome

That day I made my mind up to look at buying a dash cam for sure

Personally I wouldn't be without one now.

Too many idiots on the road.

I bought me and the wife one from Halfords, next base 312's for 90 quid each.

Really good picture, screen on the back for easy setting up and it's got Wi-Fi so you can watch things back without having to remove the memory card and use a computer.

Wife's a driving instructor, and she can play it back for her pupils too.

Really rate the camera, and it's my third one.

Had a cheapo Chinese one of eBay, then a mobius actioncam, now this...
Easily the best!

It's one of those fit and forget things, that you won't need most of the time, but wished you had in the event of an accident.

Money well spent in my opinion
