Hi folks,

I currently have a 2002 Citroen Xsara Picasso which has done me well but seem to be spending too much on it now and know it wont get me through the winter without seriously hitting the purse strings, so looking for replacement.

Not sure I really want another one as its turning circle is like driving a fooking tank! So was wondering if anybody could come up with some suggestions as its not a subject I know a great deal about.

Would need to meet the following criteria though:

1) High riding position and plenty of room to get in and out like Picasso due to disability

2) Age approx '07 +

3) No more than £3k (3.5 at a push)

4) Considering diesel for good fuel mpg

Any suggestions welcome thanks

I know what you mean about the turning circle on Citroens, the C3 is pathetic for such a small car. In fact my Hyundai Tucson is better!
In fact, the Tucson gets my vote here, and may suit your needs. High position, loads of goodies as standard (wicked stereo!) and pretty good on fuel. Mine is an early (04) 4X4 diesel (they do it in 2WD too) and it gets over 30 to the gallon- quite heavily laden and I don't drive like an undertaker. Reliability- can't fault mine (touch wood), the only time it said 'no' was when its original battery had had enough at around 7 years old. Good feel, nice ride & handling and pretty quiet too for its vintage. Not the most popular make so you can get them for sweeties.

Mayby you can download a car here at this site and do a 3D print!!

Hmmm, let's hope whatever I get it has less on the clock than you're trying to reach

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I was hoping for - suggestions of things I'd never have even considered. I'll look into them cheers.

Have you looked at the Vauxhall Zafira @VectorZ?. They are pretty good and very roomy. :)

Look a renault clio they are very good as well

Doh! Why didn't I think if that... what with the Clio having a nice high ride and all that room just like a Picasso

If you're going to post clock mate at least attempt to read the opening post.

I got another shitty Citroen in the end. Better the devil you know I guess.
