Battery was replaced in Feb after it was flat and wouldn't turn over.

Gone flat again. Now, it's got the electrics pack (Blaupunkt SatNav, etc) and we had the doors open while cleaning it, headlights on a bit by accident and now it won't start.

So - is it the alternator? My first guess is but other have said might be starter motor being worn needing a bigger kick to start it. Battery is a nightmare to get to but i'm guessing I better get a multimeter to test to see how it's charging.

is alternator replacement a DIY job for someone hopeless like me? where's cheapest?

It should have a 096 or 110 battery fitted around 700 amp or more for your car

When running it should read over 14.00 volts at the battery leads, if so your alternator is working

Does your car have stop/start.....if yes they are different battery's

should be a calcium battery too , ford uses a smart charge system

Doesn't have stop/start - never heard of the smart charge - I'll have to check if it's calcium too - a mobile tech fitted it
