focus 2012 1600 tdci economy/performance chip

hi guys anyone had a chip fitted to the new focus ecu , if so is it worth the cost

by chip fitted im assuming you mean getting it re-mapped? its worth the cost if its reasonable as you'll get another 25-30 bhp and optimum fuel economy.

all depends on who does it

as there are alot of cowboys advertising as massive companys .etc that will do a remap quite cheap but its just generic file at best

for proper basic tune from some1 who knows what they doing its around £250 +

do alot of research before u commit

they are all generic unless your going on rollers and be more expensive..a reputable company can do good generics.

A generic tune is were some 1 has a file collection that matches ur ECU and just puts it on ur car

A custom tune is were they download ur existing ECU software and modify it

A proper custom tune is were they do the above then put it on rollers and check bhp then tweak it abit more for your car
