Anyone know how to remove blower motor on the above car. So far I have removed glove box but can't see any way of releasing the motor assembly. On net I haven't found much ifo to help either. Photos or a diagram of the bolts that hold it in place would help.

Are you sure it needs to come out? Does it not work at all? If so, it could just be this...

disconect the battery negative lead, and move the lead away from the battery.

Remove the glovebox.

Unclip and remove the air duct now visible

reach up behind the facia on the left hand side, release the catch at the top, then twist the body of the blower motor anti clockwise to release it, and withdraw it from under the fascia

when the motor is sufficiently removed, disconnect the blower motor wiring plug.

Refit by reversing the removal operations...

Hope this helps...

Yeah, read both those post earlier that myself but its not quite that simple. I will have another look later. Thanks for the info.

Is the blower dead or is it just the resistor pack??

If its the later.... the blower doesn't need to come out!!

Resistor pack has been changed recently & motor is dead. There doesn't seem to be many pictures on net showing the removal. I will update as & when its removed.

Mine too! Good drive, nice gadgets, lovely inside and the kids loved it - but by god it had so many problems. Resistor pack, electronic break, dash board failure, etc

Very true mate... brilliant car to drive and very good MPG from the 1.9DCI..

but the electrics are a nightmare! Window regulators are another major problem... Jump out of the car, press key fob to arm the alarm, windows come down lol!!

Top of the dashboard comes off easy on the MK1 scenic

Yeah , done it today. Before you start its best to disconnect battery (don't want any airbag mishaps) have to remove center console, then the square panel where radio fits, then glove box can be removed. Then take clocks out, then both stansion covers , then the dash. Its a tight squeeze over steering wheel but does go(a few wires need unclipping). Once this is done motor is visible & the 2 screws that hold it in place(on the top, so full dash needs to be removed to access these). Can post a picture if anyone requires.

Thats disappointing :-( I had a hammer on order and everything

Lol

Going from memory here, its been a while,

There are two screws hidden under big plastic caps on top of dash near where it meets the window, then remove screws going from instrument bezel up into dash,

Then it needs a firm pull upwards, starting on drivers side using the now freed up part at the instrument cluster :)

Just don't go hell for leather or you will snap the plastic clips that hold it down at the front

Copy and paste from Renault forum

1. Remove (carefully prise) the trim covering the left and right hand speakers on top of the dashboard.
2. Locate and remove the two screws securing the top of the dashboard (under the speaker covers)
3.Carfully unclip the dashboard top and remove.

If its just resistor unit you can get to that by removing clocks (really easy). The blower motor needs full dash removing (tight getting past steering wheel & a good few wires to disconnect).
