Hi,

I'm really struggling because my Renault went in for repairs & the mechanic reset the radio. I bought it used so I have no books or codes! It's killing me driving around London without a radio! What can I do? Please help!
Make: Renault
Model: Trafic
Year: 2006

The radio is fixed inside so I can't get it out to see any bar code etc. There is a code on the clock 8200380298 not sure if this helps.

Cheers,

John

if i were you m8 id take the van back and demand the mechanic sort it for you as it was working when you dropped your van off... you can be sure if it was the other way around they would be charging you, regards mdt

Nah nah... it's the customers responsibility to have the necessary paperwork including the ant-theft radio security code for the vehicle which would have been supplied since new. Mechanics need to be able to disconnect the battery in order to carry out work safely. :)

A better approach would be to poliely ask the garage if they have a set of radio removal keys to remove radio from dash... I'm sure they would be pleased to oblige freely for an existing customer. :D

your ganna need to remove radio from dash and post all the numbers printed on the label for code.

Here's a link showing how to remove radio for clio which will prob be similar to your van... needing release keys.
