Has anyone changed these on a lwb rear wheel drive transit. Can i get old ones out with out a bearing pulling tool (as i have seen them for around £200) if i can smash them out whats the best way of getting new ones in, or should i take to garage but this looks like going to be expensive anyway.

I think you'll need a proper 40 tonne press to put the new bearings in, not something most have around the garage! If u can get the parts cheap, get a local garage to press them in for you - if u can do the rest yourself

is it a smiley type transit a year and so on would help me help you ?

twin or single wheel base
there are 15 variants for this van
all based on weight and wheelbase and abs or not
can you post a reg or vin ?
see if etis has a listing
some are compound some are on the half shaft some bolt straight to the hub

etis is the ford technical information service
gives wiring and mechanical diagrams for all ford vehicles

looks like you need to remove flange bolts at backing plate and remove the hub
bearing in side the diff tube
youl need a puller or maybe a slide hammer to remove bearing casing too

looks like a nightmare without the puller but half shaft can be inserted with bearing built
good luck
