someone somewhere in the summer time
having a problem with the power steering on my clio on starting the car in the mornin when everything is cold it can take from about 30 secs upto bout 5 mins for the relay to click in and then I have the power to the pump anyone know of anything that may be causing this its on a 51 plate
cheers

i may be wrong but im sure its electric power steering, if it is check battery and alternator 1st. if there ok id look at the ecu mate

firstly as said before check alternator output as it will use the remaining batt power for other stuff a sort of electrical limp mode if you like
battery check too
also some of these depending on model have ratchet type clutch on the alternator pulley and when it goes duff it only spins alternator very slightly

another fault is if it has lost config in uch it can loose the alternator type and details and has to be reconfigured but usually only if its had a change of alternator
many issues including the fusebox at the ns inner wing and wiring too give complaints on most of these clios
hth

smart charge alternator design mate so nearer the 13 v + should be good at idle
