02 plate cooper s

I've just bought a cooper s (yummy) the only thing I'm struggling with is DSC, it has a switch in the usual place near window switches. when I flick it the DSC light comes on permanently, I thought it only worked under duress?

Do I have a problem?

when you hit the switch you are disabling it thats why light is on all the time

The DSC light on the rev counter pod i mean?

yes it should stay light when you hit the switch mate
its a warning light to tell you its disabled

Okay, i'll have a play, not like there is much of a noticable change when on or off?

if you pop the clutch it will wheelspin a little more when off
when on it should just flash and stop the wheel spin a little

ah right, gives me a reason to thrash it, just to check to see if it's working then
