hi my heater fan on my 54 partner has started blowing (no, not that blowing, i'm not that lucky) doesnt matter which position its in. i realise i will need a new switch, but does anyone know which fuse i can pull to knock it off. i do have other probs with the van i will post later, but i need to get this sorted, its pi55ing me off big time !!
..cheers..

thanks miggy, i have googled it a few times & probably seen every other answer except that 1..lol..
when i saw the description about it being behind the headlight, i thought i had found the cause. i had a knock into a bridge wall on black ice, minimal damage but the wing by the light took the damage. wrong side though, so still probably the unit & not the relay.
with it being a relay, will the van still be ok to drive if i remove it?

If it keeps blowing that means it shorting out somewhere remove the fuse for now but that is just delaying the problem. Try your local scrapyards and see if you can get a switch and a relay for it.

cheers miggy, sorted. disconnected it & fan stopped i have reconnected it & seems to be working ok still. might have been a loose connection, though didnt seem loose. the relay is glow plug relay apparently, i did a search on part No. dont know why that guy took the bumper off & took out the light, easy enough to get to without all that parlarva.
I'll see how it goes with the old one in & if problem comes back, I'll get another.
btw, the fan worked correctly with the relay disconnected, so dont know how it helped, but it did.

That tells you that the fault is your relay if everything worked fine when you disconnected it could have been shorting somewhere. See how you go now and if the trouble comes back change the relay mate.
