hi guys
i brought a s-reg 206 1.1 for the mrs ... gave it a quick service 2day filters oil etc... noticed a tearing noise coming from the cluch when the car is ticking over but goes when you press the pedal in......
am i rite in thinking it's the thrust bearing/relise bearing?

anyone ever done one?
d.i.y or garage?

thx guys

yes bearing gone, not good to drive car car as more damage may be done, unless you have access to a load of tools i would say garage job

jack and axle stands, better if you have a hoist the one with button for up and down:banana:13mm socket and ring spanner, oil drainer to drain oil and to refill gearbox again,8mm allen sockets for gearbox, also maybe15,16,17.and 18mm sockets and spanners, you will also need 2 jacks one for supporting engine and one for gearbox and watch your head when gearbox falls on it as its heavy and solid:proud:

If you are doing the release bearing, it's best to replace the clutch also. While you are in there and all that :)

always replace as a 3 piece kit, unless you have an unlucky car that has a duel mass flywheel also:lol:
