hi mate, i fitted the starter but the van will still not start, just a click when i turn the ignition, so thought it might of been a fuse or relay lol, any ideas as to what it could be? battery seems ok, starter motor is ok, wires look ok, so im really not sure what it is, thinking of just sending it into the garage to get it fixed, just worried about getting ripped off

put it in gear then take the hand brake off then try pushing the van

if it dont move the engine is seized

lmao dont say that he will cry :FRIGHT:

First things has the water gone again?
Battery seems ok ? put the lights on, fan and hazards then see if the lights go dim, even try to crank it.

Put it in 5th gear and try to rock it back and forth, if thats doesnt work then remove the spark plugs and try again.

Garage is best option tbh just ask for price to check out the problem and price for the work

found the water leak problem it was a split pipe, the engine is not seized cos i can bump start it lol, battery is ok, its just a click on the solenoid when i turn the key so wont crank up, garage it is then

The solenoid maybe clicking, but the contacts maybe burnt out ;)

Try shorting it out, if it starts it the solenoid

Replace the solenoid.

cheers guys, i managed to get it sorted today, it was the starter motor that i fitted that was faulty, i took it back today and exchanged it for another and now the van is starting again :)

cheers

Thats good news mates, just make sure your antifreeze is strong enough now
