Ford Cmax 58plate..

Hello,

Key fob has stopped working, replaced the battery but still not working..

Is their a sequence to get this back up and running..

If its the same process as older fords... its

turn ign on to ign 1 or 2,.... then off, 8 or 12 times... cant remember which until you hear a beep... then push the lock button on the fob with ign on... doors will lock. then turn ign off, then fob should work

Step 1

Enter your Ford vehicle and close the door.

Slide the ignition key attached to the Ford key fob into the ignition.

Turn the key on and off eight times (do not start the car), leaving the key in the "On" position after the eighth turn. The doors of your Ford will lock and unlock to show that the vehicle is in programming mode.

Press one of the key fob buttons within 20 seconds to program the key fob. The doors of the vehicle will lock. When they do, hit the unlock button to verify that the key fob is programmed.
5.
Step 5

Remove the key from the ignition and repeat the procedure for each Ford key fob you need to program.

Cheers mate, i found this..
Try this procedure to re-sync key.
Fasten front seat belts and close all doors so that conflicting audible warnings do not sound when carrying out
programming.
Switch ignition ON 4 times within 6 seconds.
Switch ignition OFF.
Programming mode activated for approximately 10 seconds (an audible warning will sound). Proceed as follows:
Press and release any button.
An audible warning will sound.
After the first key has been programmed the 10 seconds programming mode automatically starts again for the next key.
Repeat above procedure for all keys including originals.
To exit programming mode:
Switch ignition ON or wait 10 seconds.
NOTE: A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed.

Just out of interest, on a 58 plate would this not be covered under warranty?

Aye it is.. but changing the battery is easy enough... and ford cant fix for shit....
