code for these models is done by reading a chip within the radio but this is a bit of a specialists job
try a local radio decoder

thats a shame i was hoping there maybe a free way to do it but guess not have you any idea how much approx it may be to get this done. Thanks Smoggie for your help.
I would expect between £15-25
decrypting the code from the dump file is quite easy but getting the file is the hard bit
you could try to see if any of the paid service websites can get code from serial but I think a local decoder would be a better option

you could try a local radio decoder who could get the code by reading a chip within the radio
Does anyone[FONT="] know if a website says if you code is not available if code decoder will do it? It is a Philips radio, from BMW, says "BMW BUSINESS RDS" and the number is PH7850W1369846.[/FONT]

I found a website that says it's available, but, then, I called a local shop here, and they got me the code! All working now.Don't know if it helps anyway, but code for that serial n is 3070
