No mate,

Can't see any other number on the unit. This is all can see
I searched around and apparently the only way is to read 24C16 eeprom and get code from it, which require a eeprom reader

Thanks for your help anyway

been having a read my self
and as u say read eprom or only way is access to the database

Are they SMT EEPROMs? Getting them out and back is a little more tricky then if they were DIP.

I'm sure someone would have an old ELVIS multiprogrammer which I think reads them. Might be wrong, its been a while.

found this elsewhere:

'no code for this one from the serial,if its a delco unit you need to read the tms370.'

'Search licznik 4.8, and serial interface read it code.'

'ok basically you cannot get the code for this radio by the serial number so without equipment to do this job you'll need to bring it to your local decoder or possibly try talking nice to the nearest dealer.
hope this helps.'

Apparently its a 24C16 SMT.
My question is, Do i need to remove it in order to read it, or can I solder wire to the pins and read it without removing

encrypted data in eeprom mate you can read it but you wont get the code out of it, you need to rewrite the eeprom with a new dump with the code known, i can get you one tomorow if you need dump and yes mate eeprom off to write.

place in birmingham will do it for a tenner

only other option is pay vauxhall for a new pass code with your radio code

can be read by upa or xprog carprog ect from pins on the rear
but the eqipment is expensive so ide say get carpass and look there ?

I made a simple Eeprom reader ( cost me about £3.50 to buy the componenets and half and hour to make). Then read the 24c16 and got the code from dump.

Thanks
