I have finally cut the ties with CCcam and setup my server using Oscam only and all so far has gone rather well but I do have a few minor issues with Oscam that I would like to overcome if possible and would appreciate some assistance in how (if possible) to go about it.

1. Accessing the webif is no problem when operating within my own home network but I would really like to access it from external logins through my dyndns addy. I have changed the port number from the usual 8888 and like I say accessing is no bother on my LAN. Port forwarding has been setup on my router to the correct port but i still get HTTP 403 Forbidden when attempting access via the dyndns path.
2. On the USERS page, how can I get the information in the Last Channel column to show the actual channel being viewed by a client e.g 'Sky Movies Premier' instead of '963 0EF9 unknown'
3. I seem unable to access peers hop2 cards, only Hop1's. Is there a setting in Oscam that changes the uphop level allowed??

Thats it for now but I'm sure I will have more queries as the week goes on!! lol

Thanks in advance

1. have a look at the httpallowed in oscam.conf
httpallowed = 192.168.0.1-255.255.255.255 <---- try that

2. you need the oscam.srvid file.. this goes in /var/tuxbox/config/

3. not sure on this one??

cheers

3.Go to Readers tab and click the little pencil icon, scroll down and change the maxhops number :)

Thanks to D1GG3R for sorting 1 & 2 for me - all good now :)

In regards to number 3, I have set maxhops for all peers to 5 and now see more cards but only 963 cards, how do I open up to see the other cards that they have and ensure they are open to my clients.

Unless you are using a whitelist you should be able to view other cards?

As for making them available to your clients, just set the reshare option to whatever reshare is available on that card :)

I can view them on server but looking at CCcam info in a client box I can only see 963 cards up to hop3. I am also concerned that the cleint boxes are getting a 2 reshare of my local card and that needs to be controlled.

Oscam needs to read these cards and then needs to serve them.

In your Oscam.server file you will need to add another reader.

I will use one of my peers as an example. He shares to me 2 x 0500 local cards with a 1 reshare and his reader general settings show this:

I can see both cards by checking his entitlements but clients cannot see the cards

Not sure what the problem is there tbh,
Have you tried setting the reshare higher temporarily to see if that works?

Thanks, I have the peer servers set as individual readers

just to add a bit more...

each reader should be in its own group..

reader 1 = group 1
reader 2 = group 2 and so on...

then each user gets added to whatever group/reader you want

group = 1
group = 1,3 and so on :)

Yeah I have that covered m8. Local Reader is in group 1 and peers all in group 2. All users currently in group 1,2. It works fine hence the peers 963 cards being seen by each client as a hop2 or 3 but not peers other cards. I have also mamaged to edit the global cccam config to stop reshare to all cccam connected clients and that works fine but I would like to change a few peers to allow them 1 reshare.

Work in progress ....................... :)

OK, I am still struggling with (a) getting access to peers (readers group 2) cards other than 963 and (b) Editing reshare from the global value of 0 to 1 for selected users.

These are details of one peers card entitlements
entitlements.JPG

I am guessing that this section may require populating to get access to those cards
caid.JPG

And this section will control reshare of those cards
reshare.JPG

And something in here will change individual users share rights from the global settings

Anyone messed with number in these areas??

Cannot really answer your reshare question as it doesnt really apply in my situation,
but I do have access to cards other then certain uk ones with no extra measures required

Do your peers (readers) have C lines or N lines to connect to your box? Be grateful if you would share some files with me to indicate where your setup differs??

Cheers

Peers have sealions m8

My setup differs in that I dont have clients, well bar one in house and its on a fixed dish :)

I would still suggest in putting each line/reader into its own group and then set the ident or caid of the provider for each line/reader.

So one internal reader and 2 external lines is 3 groups and so on.

If nothing else it will kill my curiosity :)

edit that... the caid goes in oscam.server [reader]. the ident goes in oscam.user

New to the site and have the same kind of issues, I have a pc based linux server using oscam 1.20

I have my card in the server and share this around my house, I also have a box which my brother has in Germany.

I have a line from a friend in Ireland with reshare on it, so I am looking to put this in to my server and share that out to my brother.

I am quite new to this and my oscam was set up by somebody else who is not free for a month as working away.

Any tips on what I can do in order to share this would be useful, as I am new here I am unable to see the images also, I will donate later on tonight when I get in.

Does your brother already have a line from your server?

If so he will get anything that has reshare from your server, you just need to put the line from Irish friend into your oscam.server as a separate reader,

Google oscam wiki for more in depth details ;)
