CD & DVD converting avi to dvd

hey guys. What's the best prog to use to convert an avi file to dvd compatible so i can burn it and watch on my dvd player ? I have nero 6, winavi, dvdshrink, dvddecrypter, ultra iso and total video convertor.

from ur list I would use winavi but better still is a programme called VSO ConvertXtoDvd,this converts and burns in one also can add multiple films

I always use Nero Vision Express, find it super easy to use and you can create half decent custom menus if you spend some time with it.

Used to use Winavi, but wasn't happy with the results so tried a few other prgrams. VSO ConvertXtoDvd seemed the best, converted the avi (or avi's) and then used DVDLab to make my menu's for the dvd, simple program to use and always good results.

i use Nero vision express does the job for me nice and strait forward wizard

just to clarify

WinAVI will convert movies in around 30 mins depending on your machine and quality will be good, it can do multiple movie conversions but it wont add a menu it just plays the dvd from start to finish

VSO on the other hand will take at least twice as long, do multiple movies and automatically add a nice menu for you and the quality of the conversions is excellent

yeah i know, when I have plenty of time on my hands I like putting my own screenshot for the menu of the movie and doing all my own chapters for it.

1 question tho, does vso support 5.1 sound?

Hi mate , i use DVDsanta , its not the fastest but gives excellent results

try this if u can get it converts and burns in 1 click and allowa u to batch and merge all avi files into one mpeg file also it converts avi files to vcd/dvd/scvd/mpeg1/mpeg2 great program can`t beat it m8

i`m just kiddin mate but seriously WinAVI and VSO both kicks its ass by a long way
