Hiding from the wife!
I just wondered if there are any other members interested in sharing their views on the festival :drink: in the next upcoming weeks i.e. banker bet, dark horse, e/w value

The prices below are current odds and in brackets are the ante post prices I took

RSA Chase
Morning Assembly 8/1 (25/1)

Mares' Hurdle
Siren D'Ainay 10/1 (16/1)

Ryanair Chase
Baily Green 20/1 (25/1)

If you are having a bet, at least there are now three horses you can avoid now that I have cursed them! : mr ed : :Biggrin2:

2014 - Triumph Hurdle - Guitar Pete Fill your boots 10/1 : mr ed :

I'll be waiting on what the ground will be like, I usually watch Country wide on BBC on the Sunday before Cheltenham as they give the farmers weather forecast which is usually pretty accurate.
I have had a lot of success reading the Irish Field the Saturday before the festival and particularly Nick Morten's 10 for the festival, they are usually pretty good prices they don't all win but 4 or 5 usually do, it's very profitable for the last few years and even better when you find out he is tipping what you fancy as well, wouldn't pay much attention to nick the rest of the year.

Also I have had a lot of profit from whatever Noel O' Brien the senior Irish handicapper naps for the meeting he has given me a good few over the years nearly always in the triumph hurdle
he will be on a couple of preview panels which are nearly always on utube, chat more nearer the big week,
I can't wait for the champion hurdle imagine The new one, Hurricane fly, My tent or yours, Our conor and I'm sure a forgotten horse jumping the last upsides what a finish that will be

Mullins will be as strong as ever. He had a new gallop created with excellent drainage, so while the smaller yards are struggling he will be rising to the top even more!

I (stupidly!) have doubled my stake on the first race of the festival and took Vautour ante post for 12/1 back in mid Jan and hoping he isn't fav on the day per my trend stats for the first race

Normally dominated by 5 and 6 year old horses with a strike rate of 80%
No 4yo winner for over 40 years
Avoid the fav on the day as a strike rate of only one win in twelve years
Irish horses have a staggering 66% strike rate over the last 12 years
11 out of the last 12 winners have won their last race
11 out of the last 12 winners won in the previous 6 weeks

I have only ever won over the four days twice, but it's the atmosphere that makes it (and the hangovers!)

Whatever you back during the festival I hope that you will be lucky

i think my tent or yours will go close in champion hurdle,trainer/jock all in good form and horse looked really well at kempton last time out.

William Hills are offering even money for Ruby to be top jock this week. Most bookies are 1/2 and 4/9. With the ammunition the Mullins camp have I feel that price is exceptional value

Top jock odds
