hi guys - I want a blu ray player that plays divx/avi/mpeg4 through the usb port. Prefer Samsung make, why ?...because i have samsung 42 lcd tv lol...what do you guys recommend..i cant find any to be honest as most usb ports are for fw upgrade or watching jpeg images etc...ta

Didn't Sainsbury's have a PS3 for £157 not long ago, supposed to be one of the best Blu-Ray players you can buy and it plays divx files and you can do lots more with it. For the extra cash it's well worth it for the extra features you can get. Plus you can stream video files over your network from a PC to the PS3 using ps3mediaserver so you can watch MKV files in HD rather than crappy AVI files.

You can watch mkvs on the BD-D5300 too. Also supports NTFS formated drives as well.

Though, if OP has a lot of ISOs, it's worth noting the BD-D5300 won't play them unless burnt to disc.
Also Anynet+ is just another name for CEC...

i'm looking for the same, but not quite USB, i just want to be able to transfer my movies onto the player and play them. i currently transfer to my ps3 but space on the ps3 is quickly becoming scarce!! anybody know if hard drive blu ray players like the ps3 exist?
