all of a sudden there is no picture :err:

Ive always had it plugged into HDMI2 with the same lead and its always showed a picture on TV screen be it DVD or playing iPhone

Ive painted recently so all was unplugged (from TV only) everything in the cabinet was left plugged in

so TV back on wall and HDMI1/2, Wii, and 1 scart all plugged back in and all working
apart from picture from PANASONIC SC-PT480, sound is there from everything but nothing shows on screen

Ive tried another HDMI lead and swapped from HDMI 1 to 2

now I'm stumped lol its gotta be something silly I'm sure that I'm missing

Ive just had a thought too, it was working the day after I painted all the walls and put TV and connected it all back
as the next day I was glossing and was listening to iPhone through it all via the TV

do you get a pic if you plug it into the hdmi1? instead of hdmi2? and have you checked the settings to see if its reverted back to scart as the input?

as Ian said hook a scart or a composite cable up to the tv and you will access the settings,

my m8s amp went all weird on him the other day reset 2 of the inputs back to analogue instead of digital and nothing else was pressed weird!!!

works via scart :) I see all menus

can you check these settings for me ian Video
video out scart = RGB2 (thats what mine is set too)

I got a feeling it may be the HDMI socket on the player itself ?

but need to check settings first :)

yep video out rgb2 john
have you tried functions then that brings up hdmi status mines has *YCbCr 4:4:4 in top right

I pressed something and it said "HDMI Not Connected"

Thanks Ian

Might be a bit of dirt or something in the hdmi socket on the panny

Ill take it out of caninet and give it a good cleanup

heres a picture

just cleaned it all at the back
took the HDMI lead from Satellite box (works in sat box) and still get the same message Not Connected!

:grrrr:

Could try an air duster on the socket just in case.

Also Google the model plus the fault, see if it's common.

I did get the dyson with small attachment all around the back
cleaned all the fan out too and the HDMI port
not the same as air duster I know

You have to watch when you hoover electronic components. It can create a huge amount of static, and could potentially blow components.

Back in the day, when I done real work, and part of the PM's of DCS racks we would hoover them out, but we used a anti static hoover.
