Nokia Box Updated I** Digital

My workmate's Nokia Box lost all it's encripted channels using original card or copycard.<br />He has been issued with a new card and had to activate the cord by telephone and now Kevlar 161 will not work. The box has updated itself and now he can only get the channels he is paying for! Is THIS what lies in stall for us all??? <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

his new card has a code of 02***** instead of 01***** ,i will programe kevlar 162 ,to see if it will work . Is ther a new code programe at the start of a new year . is this of help topjohn.

To use this new card he had to call a tell no on the card ***** to activate it. thanks for your help. topjohn

nokia box updated yesterday and all works fine.The only alteration was the uhf number went back to 21 instead of the setting I had it on. <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I have today reprogrammed a new card, kevlar 162 for my friends Nokia Box and now<br />it is woking ok, with all channels.<br />thanks for all your help.

I auto updated my nokia no problem. Only seen that there are left/right arrows now when you press select to change channels.

My box just produced a pink "In order to continue to get the best from *** ******"<br />box rather than the good old green "Your box is being updated" message. It's a Nokia and the <br />master transmitter for here is Crystal Palace.

The message offered me the chance to cancel but said I could only do it twice.

Is this innocent or do I feel a shafting coming on?

Does it matter which card you have in when you update?

It is totally possible that the powers that be read these forums and have sussed as we have that nokia boxes are less prone to ecm's, therefore they could be updating the nokia box software to enable them to zap this box as well.

Just a thought.

satmagic, I wouldn’t of thought it would matter which card you have in when you perform this update, but you could use the original card just to be on the safe side. <br />You might as well let this update happen, as you can only avoid it twice you might as well get it over & done with.

Let us know the outcome of the update, good or bad.

just had my update from i** digital took about 15-20 mins....hope it does't matter which card you have in cos i left my gold card in not thinking <img src="graemlins/helpme.gif" border="0" alt="[helpme]" /> <img src="graemlins/helpme.gif" border="0" alt="[helpme]" />
