are all cross compatible. for example Plug a sony Blu-ray into a Pana TV and it will show in viera link and work just fine.
Sony dont do a blu-ray recorder. No probs - just plug in a panny in full knowledge that it will work fine and show on the XMB like any sony branded unit will.
