My son's ipod touch 2gen cracked his screen so i got a fleabay digitizer screen.all's was well till he noticed a small leak or splodge in the top corner of the LCD screen and the touch screen wouldnt work.
I then ordered a new LCD screen and replaced it and + it has the new digitizer screen. It powers up fine but the touch screen still doesnt work.
i've gone over it and checked all the cables but its still not working.

anyone got any idea's ? ,im not throwing any more money at it.

also double check none of the pins aren't bent on the connector, this caused me major dead area issues with a iPod Touch 2nd gen (cos the digitiser connector is a right pain in the ar*e to get lined up properly, design flaw). And as biffo1 said, check ALL your connections, I also recently had issues with an iPhone 3G (both LCD and digitiser replacement) touchscreen wasn't responding at all, turned out to be a loose connection.

thanks for the replies chaps, i'll have a good look in the morn with my magnifying headset .am i just checking were the digitizer plugs in ?.are there any more area's to look out for ?.
