Anyone know the best and fastest way online to get the sim locked removed ? it's on o2. Someone said, if you bought it from new o2 will do it for free, what's the script with o2 and sim unlocking ?.
This phone was bought 2nd hand awhile back for one of the kids and has been used on a Tesco sim only deal so I'm not sure that o2 will do it.
I just need somewhere who will do it quickly , those on eBay are saying 7-10 days, God knows why it takes so long.

Codes arnt generated to unlock an iphone.
They are unlocked by the IMEI number stored on a database.
You need to connect your iphone to itunes to complete the unlock.

do you get the nod from the guy or just do it after a few days ?

Normaly can take upto 72 hours depending on the service you used. Mines never taken that long though.
Just keep connecting to itunes. Once unlocked itunes will display "congratulations your iphone is now unlocked"

If you have used a Ebay service check back with them after 72 hours if nothing has happened.

I went back later on to buy them and thought I was on your link but it was another guy exact same ad , he had a rating of about 30,000 or so.

If i recall if its locked to o2 then you need a sim from another network.
This is quoted from the apple site
if you're not an O2 customer, you can simply put a non-O2 SIM card into your iPhone and then plug it into your computer and open iTunes to unlock the iPhone

emails arrived today from the unlock seller so hopefully kids will be off my case
