iPhone iPhone 5C erratic screen behaviour

Hi all

Recently got my daughter a iPhone 5C, purchased with a cracked screen.

I've changed the screen and digitiser with a complete replacement unit.

The phone works okay for a few mins, then it does some strange things - the screen either becomes totally non responsive. Or, get ghost touches on the screen, as in .... Hovering finger above screen about cm or 2 will select a random app on the screen.


I've double checked the connections and they all seem okay, has anybody had this ?? Or know of a reliable fix.

I'm considering returning the screen tbh

Do you think another screen sort the issue then ? From decent store ??

yes screen is faulty, try here. good quality i find

find yourself a good cheap repair shop you will get warranty then, just in case anything goes wrong, will work out cheaper in long run.

i have had this myself ,, new screen need most likely, i presume you have tried a soft reset ?

Yeah soft and wipe. Neither worked.
Genuine Apple screen seems too have make it much better although swipe too unlock is still a little hit or miss

Mine is actually the same ,, can't answer calls sometimes ,, annoying but it only happens on occasions
