iPhone It is repairable?

Guys my son has smashed his iphone 4s and my he has done a job on it! What concerns me is that when you plug it into a pc it does not register at all. What I would like to know is has he buggered it completely? I am prepared to replace the screen and back that are smashed but dont really want to do it if there is more wrong with it

For all they cost you may as well replace the dock connector while you are at it.
May be an intermittent connection as you couldn't initially connect to iTunes.

Recommend you type " Ifixit " ( minus " " )into a well known search engine

i recomend you buy a decent magnetic screwdriver set and a magnetic matt like this one..



the screws are tiny and all slightly diffrent sizes.

you might want a good magnifier lamp as well.

make sure your sons well out of striking distance when you do the repair, can get real frustrating lol

i second buzzer on that one. Get a screw mat. Took me hours to get all the screws back in my first iphone 4/45 i replaced the screen on. theres lots lol and all different sizes
