iPhone Accessory not supported

Hi all,
Trying to play videos etc from my iphone 4s to my tv.
Plug in my convertor cable and hdmi cable to tv, my iphone comes up on my tv for a second then goes away. I get the unsupported cable message on my phone, just trying to mirror phone to tv.
Any ideas?

Copy cable ? iOS detects and does not let you use it ??

Not that I know of other than gen cable

I use Apple TV to stream to my TV wirelessly so no need for cable.

yip don't buy apple stuff get an android phone

There is an unsupported accessory tweek on cydia. It doesn't work to power the phone since one of the updates but may let video through.
