Just got a 5s and took a coupe of snaps. When I go to camera roll I can see them as thumbnails but when I click on the thumbnail it expands but then goes grey!!

Strangely, when I click edit it reappears.

Any help please

Have you tried a forced reboot

Hold the power button (top button) and the screen button (button under the screen) at the same time, for 5 seconds or whatever until it goes off and comes on again.

Sometimes my iPhone goes a little messy and that always works for me...

Good Luck

Mick

Thanks for replying.

Tried what you said but it didn't work also took some more snaps but it's doing the same.

See if this helps:-

sync the phone with itunes so you transfer the photos onto your PC

Delete the photos off your phone and then re-sync from pc back to the iPhone

Thanks

Just tried that but still the same. When I take a pic it goes to the bottom left as a miniature version but when I click it it's just grey.

Ive seen mentioned a couple of times and it seems the only solution is a full restore using itunes.
if you do restore tho make sure you back up all your data.......contacts....music etc

Thanks

What's the process for a full restore using itunes?

Thanks

What's the process for a full restore using itunes?

Connect your phone to your pc with your usb cable.
Perform a back up of your phone
Then hit the restore tab. Itunes will download the latest firmware version And restore the phone back to factory settings.

After the restore has completed you will be asked if you want to set the Phone up as new or restore from your backup. Choose restore from back Up. Job done.

I recently had an unrelated problem with a 4, and used Apple's site. I got the solution, perfectly explained & very quickly, couldn't fault it.

@Kryton

Where's the 'restore tab'? I have backed up but can only see 'restore from back up'

I did this and it is exactly as it was re camera.

Highlight your device in itunes and on the right hand side panel you will see the general information of your device.
there is also an "update" and "restore" tabs.

The restore tab will be greyed out if you have the latest ios.
But you can still restore your device to factory defaults.
