Hey guys.
I'm looking for recommendations for an IMEI unlocking site.
Has anyone used one ?
Any problems to look for ?
Which is the most reliable ?

No I'm not.
I'm looking for a site that unlocks the phone from the network , which isn't illegal.
That would be imei UNBLOCKING

Thank you.
Now you know the difference between the two.

Your questions as quoted above was IMEI unlocking which is illegal what you meant was network unlock correct

So every website that quotes imei unlock is doing something illegal ?.

In terms of legality of IMEI Unlock service, the full Oftel 2002 SIM-lock position paper specifies that there is no SIM locking law in the USA and UK; the regulator wants only “consumer awareness” – which means it is totally legal to unlock your iPhone.

If the imei was blocked by the network due to loss or theft , then it would be ilegal to unblock that imei number.

I just want to to unlock the phone to any network.
If I had phrased the question. " network unlock " I would have had lots of replies that would have been no use to me.
Hence the question phrased as it is.

which phone do you have, which carrier and how long have you had it ,

there are many different ways to network unlock (which is the common phrase for what I believe you are trying to do) depending on the above

I have an iPhone 4 on 6.1.2 baseband 4.12.05
I know This cannot be software unlocked via a jailbreak and unlock.
It can be unlocked via network or IMEI unlock.
There are sites offering this service.
My question seemed very simple, has any one had any experience or recommendations for this service.

well now you have calmed down and we have more details then maybe somebody can recommend something rather then the vague stuff you posted in the title and first message

Don't patronise me .
I know there Is no unlock for this iOS and baseband.
The suggestion that I ask for a network unlock for this phone would have been
" there isn't one available only from the network provider."
To save getting those answers , which I already know, I thought it was a simple question to ask if anyone had used an IMEI unlocking site, of which there are hundreds, and if so could they give there experience and any recommendations for a reliable one.
I did not ask to change the IMEI.
I did not ask to unblock an IMEI.
How can this be vague

As you know everything, you needed not posted this thread best of luck if anyone chooses to help you with such a shite attitude

I haven't had help though have I.
It was a simple question.
The replays I've had have not been answers at all.
I've been told IMEI unlocking is illegal....... It isn't.
I don't want to change the IMEI number, nowhere have I asked to do that.
Please explain how my question is vague ?

My "attitude" as you put it, is in response to the condescending replays I got.
I obviously don't know it all , which is why I asked the question.

Here's the best answer take it to an apple store and get it unlocked by them

I'm pretty sure you have to ask the carrier to unlock it. Apple are the ones who actually do the unlocking but only at the carriers request.

There are sites that claim to be able to unlock but I'm unsure if they are jb unlocks or fakes

Very good.
You didn't respond to one tiny bit of what I've said , just Another reply that is neither helpful or informative.
Why reply if you have nothing helpful to say..........
And yet I'm the one with the attitude.
