iPhone Do not know if jailbreak

Hi all.
New to this but here we go.
I have down loaded cydia by limera1n and my iphone is running ios 4.1. As far as i can see its all running ok. I am trying to jailbreak my PS3 using IPhonDrod but can not reboot the iphone into androd. I have also tried using filezila and it keeps saying "timed out can not connet"
Maybe I am missing the point here but i am getting to the stage where I am starting to bang my head on a brick wall all help greatfully reseved.

Unless your phone is 3g I dont think you can hack your PS3 with it. If its a 3gs then I dont think it works, unless thats changed?

Is a 3gs and from what i have seen on ps3hak you use the iphone as an andorid phone using psgrove or psfreedem. But like i say i am not shure if my phone is jailbroke. Is there away i can check?

You cannot do it with a 3gs mate. As I said earlier on the 3g can JB PS3.

if it is jailbroke cydia will be installed on the sprinboard.
you could connect it to iphone browser and that will also tell you if it is jailbroke.
but cydia is the biggest clue

Hi Mate.
They also say you can use an Ipad (which I have) is this right or not. Sounds like I am barking up the wrong tree. But still why can i not use filezila and also I can not get into the bootup ie boot up in andoid.

I am not sure on the ipad mate, but I aint seen any releases for 3gs or ipad tbh. Your better off getting a dev board, and flashing that. Its much easier and its updateable.

I have herd that if you use these and sigh on to psn then they shut you down and can not get on line and mulityplay. Is this right or ????

You cant go online with a JB PS3 mate. As it requires a higher fw than is JBable at present. So its not the dongle that stops you going online, its the fw revision.
