iPhone iPhone Tethering on PAYG

Is there a way to tether the iPhone on a PAYG contract?

I have scowered the web and found some info earlier this year, but these do not seem to work.
Also I do not want to jailbreak the phone.

There is no way to tether on the latest FW (3.1) without My Wi or PdaNet which both require JB.

If you roll back a FW to 3.0 you can use THIS

No mate jailbreaking is a piece of cake honestly i hae done loads its easy and quick to do and you won't mess your iPhone up!

jail break wont screw your phone mate..


use blackra1n, jailbreak in 30 seconds...

if you ever need to take it back to apple for what ever reason just do a restore..

What month did you buy the 3GS

Reason am asking is because the new 3GS, are a bit tricky... meaning you can jailbreak them but when you restart your phone it will un jailbreak it self and be stuck on the itunes logo... you then have to jail break it again..

to be honest then its not worth jail breaking...

go to settings, general, about and tell me your model number

Right I tried to jailbreak me phone, using this tut, I can install cydia OK, but if I reboot my phone, it will not go past the USB and itunes image and I have to restore my iPhone.

When I used blackrain I had itunes closed and all services stopped.
any ideas?

there is another thread somewhere here asking about when it looses battery power you have to connect it to a PC before charging ?

looks like you have the latest 3GS...

plug it into your computer... dont do anything with itunes or close it completly

and click it on make it rain again... dont do anything untill you get to your home screen.. then tell me your model number

The model number is, MC131B. It is new I only got it on Friday

ok your going to have that itunes logo appear everytime you restart your phone..

2 choices now...

1. jailbreak and never switch your phone off
2. restore using itunes and never jailbreak it (until someone thinks of something new)

Looks like I am waiting. I have another question.

I can get o2 to unlock the phone for me, for 15 quid. I currently have a three sim with all the bolt ons etc. If I get the phone unlocked would I be able to tether with my 3 sim?
