Just a few question first folk.
I updated to 9.3.3 a few days ago so jailbreak will work. I've never jail broken any iPhones I had.

Is it safe? (ie malware?)
can it damage iPhone?
What benifits?

I I know you can download 3rd party apps and are they safe?

It allows you to run unsigned code so it's pretty safe as you dont get stuff from dodgy repos.
Shouldn't damage your phone. Just backup first. You can always reinstall the os and start again.
You can run unsigned code, so you can install tweaks that change the way your phone looks and acts for example and the functionality.

Are they safe... maybe ;) If they are from trusted developers then probably. Look for reviews.
