Been to Rat's, have rash to prove it ;)
I've a weird issue with my battery. The strength meter plummets like digidude jumping out of a plane !! Then stays at 9% for ages ?? If I reboot the phone it will then show 50 odd % ?? Or sometimes I can have 30% and it just shutsdown and wont restart till I charge it ? I'm thinking its a issue with the wind coz apple said the battery was fine ;-) its out of warranty now though booooo x

Anyone had a similar issue ?

I think them apple tecs either dont know ir couldnt be bothered.ussually 9 times out of ten when i get an iphone thats messing about then ussually a new bat sorts it.if the battery is getting a charge and your using a genuine charger there really is nothing else to try.

If your battery isn't faulty it could be by the time you remove it.
They are totally stuck down in the 5s and are a nightmare to try and remove cleanly.

Try a new charger lead. Had this exact issue and it was the lead not charging the phone to its full potential.
Somehow the phone shows 100% but it's not, so drops fast.
A new lead sorted it for me.

This was happening with my sons 4s. I got a new battery and then it was fine. Worth a try when you can get an original battery for £8.
