Hi All Anyone know where I can get replacement motherboard for Hudl 2. Iv'e checked it and the ram is overheating also don't have correct tools to replace it. It seems they are in short supply (no guessing why) and Tesco seem uninterested in providing solution even though it started to fail during warranty other than to say they will send it away but the cost is £70, and I aint paying that they are only £100 complete. Any help / advice much appreciated!!:Mad2:

Hi,

We had a Hudl2 a couple of years ago but the screen broke. I think the motherboard and the screen are bonded together, so replacing one means replacing both, so it's not really cost effective.

Not much use to you, I know: sorry about that, they are a good little tab!

Hi thanks for reply! The motherboard is actually a separate part and it resides under the display immediately above the battery in fact the battery connection is on the motherboard. So question is: does your device power on and if so are you looking to sell it and how much? Regards

Hi,

Sorry m8: it's long gone. We had it about a year until the eldest dropped it in the back of the car: hit the seat bracket square on and cracked the screen to bits. I looked around about getting it repaired, but we're in Ireland and bought it on a shopping trip to Belfast as they werent on sale in ROI, so I couldnt find anyone local to fix it. Thats where I first heard that the screen was bonded to the m/b so I just binned it.

How about buy & sell, that kind of thing in your area? Might be worth a try?

OK thanks for reply!! Iv'e shelved it for now and as you said it wasn't an expensive device maybe one will turn up at some point, although I have to say the motherboard seems to have a high rate of failure on these devices.
