How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (method 1):

  1. Go to the SuperSU app and open it;
  2. Head over to the Settings tab;
  3. Scroll down;
  4. Then, choose “Full Unroot”;
  5. Have patience until it says uninstalling root and be sure that the device will automatically reboot. You can also manually restart the phone by pressing the Power button for no more than 10 seconds.
Another option is by using a file manager with root access. You can only imagine that I think of ES File Explorer, but be sure that it is not the only option out there. Here’s what you must do:
How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (method 2):

  1. Access your device’s main drive and look for “system”;
  2. Select it;
  3. After that, you must tap on “bin”;
  4. From there, delete “busybox” and “su”;
  5. If you cannot find these options, just move to the next step;
  6. Go back to the system folder and select “xbin”. If the files are there, go ahead and delete both “busybox” and “su”;
  7. Go back to the system folder and select “app”;
  8. Delete “superuser,apk”;
  9. Restart the device and it will all be done.
These two procedures technically removed the root or the superuser access to the device, but you might find that it isn’t at all that easy to perform the “OTA Software Update” again. The handset’s status might still be set into custom, so my advice is to try restoring back its custom status to official by using Samsung’s tool known as ODIN.
How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (method 3):

  1. Take the firmware file for your Galaxy S7 Edge onto the computer; use this direct link;
  2. Turn of the handset;
  3. Then, enter it into download mode, so press the Volume Down + Power + Home buttons at the same time;
  4. Launch the Odin application;
  5. Connect your device to the computer;
  6. You should get an added message;
  7. In the Odin app, select AP;
  8. Find the downloaded stock firmware file in .tar format;
  9. Make sure that the re-partition option is not ticked;
  10. Tap the Start button. Once the process is completed, you would notice the Pss message on the Odin’s screen.

Thanks a lot Noodles.
Very difficult to download the firmware associated with this device from the suggested website because it goes the zip files are either corrupted or not downloadable. I havnt tried the full SU unroot method yet bcas It may brick my phone but that is the last resort if nothing else work.

Hi mate. I cannot find a firmware for my s7 edge. I am on EE and my my chipset is exynos which is not on that list. I am not sure if I can flash a T mobile(uk) firmware on it. Would it have any problems?

Thanks

try here for firmware
Firmware for Samsung SM-G935F - SamMobile

you should be able to flash the UK/Ireland firmware, which will be generic so won't have any EE apps etc in it

Thank you Joe and Seanicca. I have successfully uploaded a new firmware on it. although it wasnt an EE one( my original one) but It works fine. It loaded some of the 02 apps on it which I have deleted. Sky Go lost its sign in details which I input again so thats working ok. I will still look out for the original firmware when its available but for now thank you you guys again. oh and i have lost all my phone numbers although I uploaded everything saved from my samsung account but for some strange reason it hasnt saved numbers.
