Samsung s4 Firmware

Chap's I've a samsung S4 to try sort. It kept switching off and doing random things so I restored firmware with Kies. This failed and now I've a recovery message but don't seem to get much further. I've downloaded odin to try and flash the phone but unsure of what firmware and where to download it ?

Any guidance welcome

I got my S5 firmware from sammobile : Firmwares - SamMobile

Search by model number...IE GT-19505
Select country and carrier

And it should come up with what your looking for.

Guys I get a error saying there is no PIT partition ?

Have you got developer options enabled on your phone and USB degguging turned on in developer options?

I cant get into phone mate, either a firmware error screen or download os screen

Well I kept using odin over and over to send the pit file but it kept saying fail. So in a fit of defiance I pressed send over and over and eventually the phone sprang to life
