Hi I have a cheap Android tablet that we use as a remote controller for our Heos Music system

I have noticed Denon have now dropped all versions of android before Ver 4.0 from their app.

Our tablet is running 4.4.2 so is ok at the moment but at sometime in the near future i am assuming they will drop ver 4

Dont know much about Android apart from being a user tbh, in the About it says Model Q88 firmware v2.0 kernel version 3.4.39.

Does anybody know how to or if its possible to upgrade this thing ?

It would be nice if somebody said yes here you go, here is a tut and a couple of files it will take 10 minutes .....lol...failing that a shove in the right direction would be a second choice.

TIA

I've never done one, but it's probably a case of sticking the updated version on a SD card, then holding down a few buttons like (volume up and power) and follow the onscreen options from the root menu? (make sure your tablet is capable of holding the updated version before you start) :)

There are quite a few different ways that tablets update, some are easy and some not so much.

Also updates are not available for all android tablets, you have to get the right version for your tablet because drivers for graphics, sound, display etc are within the android system, and not installed seperatly like Windows.

Find out the exact make/model etc and try XDAdevelopers, they seem to have the biggest and best selection of official and un=official android roms and updates.

I've just put an unofficial android 6 rom on my old Samsung Tab 2, samsung havent produced an update since android 4.4 for it.
