Anyone use these cheaper Chinese smart watches ?
Some of the £20+ ones seem to get not to bad reviews

do they all need to have sim cards in or just connect via Bluetooth ?

I work off ladders and have mucky hands sometimes so dont always like getting phone out of my pocket

Depends on what you need to do, basic alerts, you can read texts if you squint, can take calls, the one I had you couldn't call or text from it though

Ive got the dz09 from Amazon john, takes a sim card which i havent tried yet as my phone uses a nano where the watch takes a micro sim, comes unlocked and cost £20 from china, works great as battery lasts a good few days and i can actually send texts on it..looks good too :) got mine in gold

Amazon.co.uk: dz09

So you dont need to use the sim card then Jay, features work without it :)
cheers for the reply mate @Zooropa

Just ordered the 7th one down on your link. Top man thanks for the info.

Ordered the u80 and the Genorth to try them £23 for both and here on Monday. I'll let you know how they fair.

Well here goes my DW Chinese smart watch review. Part 1 - The U80. This is the actual notes I put in the returns box at amazon "Charged up and tried to use. Was running for one hour then crashed. Tried to restart but will not turn off. No soft reset available."
In case you guys are wondering why I didn't take the battery out. I'm just guessing it's under a thin piece of metal on the back that's glued down which then has 4 screws underneath it and if I knew this had to be removed every time it crashed then I would be returning it asap.
I'll let you know how Part 2 - Genorth. goes tomorrow when it arrives.

Yeah that's a soft reset, it's locked. It needs a hard reset as in battery disconnection. I could leave it for days till the battery runs down but as I said I don't fancy doing this all the time. Most manufacturers give a small pin hole reset on things like this if you can't take the battery out.

Just got the DZ09 today it looks good, however you have to download the app to your phone first. After doing this you are requested to set a BT push notification for it to work. Now as most of the instructions are in fecking Chinese my question is am I getting billed now that BT are involved with it as well as my phone provider?.

Love it :Hit:
