OnePlus launched a Android handset in late 2013 with a massive uptake, they sold 1.5m units in 35 Countries in the first 12 Months.

Invites are now open for the new 'Flagship Killer': https://oneplus.net/invites?kid=6G236

Looks interesting, does anyone have the original one plus? What's it like?

It has a bit of a cult following and by all accounts its a pretty decent spec. Few minor niggles in initial production, but lots of people with them still going strong today. There are quite a few people I work with also that have them, and swear by them.

They have the ability to reduce costs, but provide the same level as specification as higher end handsets like Samsung etc, but they work on a strict production cycle so they don't have any leftovers etc (hence the invite system).

I think they underestimated the demand with the first release as they only made 2500 units initially, then 10,000 etc. and it just spiralled upwards

EDIT: I'm just waiting for a review on the OP2, but I'm really considering taking the plunge. My iPhone had a bit of a hiccup a few weeks back and I'm currently using an old HTC One Mini with a smashed screen, which is a bit dire, but I can't do anything with my contract until October time.
