moto g 2nd gen sim issue

picked one up off ebay but for some reason sim slot 1 does not work at all. 2nd slot works fine and when I put my sim in it works right away after a reboot. Completely reset the phone but still the same.

Any ideas or anyone had this issue aswell?

Got the same phone mate but have only ever tried sim 1 which works fine....dunno if this will help but done a search on net and found this

try turning airplane mode off and back on again. Settings > Wireless & network > Airplane mode

cheers for the reply, still seems the same. When I plug it in it just goes straight to emergency calls but when I switch it to sim slot 2 it recognizes it and asks me to reboot. Strange

Had mine delivered today. My old phone had a GiffGaff MiniSIM so had to cut it down myself with a Stanley knife to MicroSIM.... it didn't work straight away in 1st slot but poked it a bit with end of knife in situ and it sprung into life. It might not have been the most accurate trim but there was room for quite a bit of movement in the slot.
