Looking to see if anyone can help. My mate's wife has a 2nd gen Nexus 7, and she received a notification to update to Lollipop 5.0.1. She didn't proceed with the update as she thought she didn't have enough 'juice' in the battery, so skipped it. She then charged it, but can no longer get the update (thankfully my wife updated when notified :) ).

I know Google are releasing the updates to different devices at different times, so that their servers don't crash with the demand, so has she missed her chance for the moment?

I tried looking around, and there's solutions with rooting, etc, but this needs to be as simple as possible, i.e. like the Over The Air notification she declined in the 1st place.

Thanks in advance,

snapman :)

To be honest mate i wouldn't update i have had loads of problems on my nexus 7 (1st gen),they are meant to be bringing out an update to help with these bugs in 5.01,so be careful mate i would hang fire the now mate and see what the feedback on 5.01 is.

The update is 5.0.1 @bigbadblue05 mate.

Snapman ,So she cant go to Settings / about device/ and click on software update? if she does do that and it doesnt look for an update and download it etc what does it say that the update isn't available?

It doesn’t find any updates available @shaun127 as far as I’m told. I’ll find out tomorrow what my mate has tried and get back if there's anything.

Thanks for replying lads. Much appreciated :)

@snapman I know the upadate was for 5.0.1 mate but i meant i still wouldn't update to it untill there is more feedback on it as there is some reports that this has caused troubles on certain tabs already and they might of pulled the update, but atleast wait for another OTA update to come around for it just incase. The first reports on 5.0 were good but that never turned out to be the case for many.

@bigbadblue05 Apologies for misinterpreting your post mate. I read 5.0.1 was the fix for bugs. Will say to my mate to hang on and see if my Mrs's Nexus will go t1ts up first, as I've updated hers!!!

Thanks mate,

No probs mate, but i would deffo wait till it comes back through OTA as there is some mixed reviews on it at the moment, but surely it has got to be better than 5.0,but i must admit i preferred Kitkat and wish i waited for more reports before i installed 5.0.

As above just go to settings about phone then update..
I'm running lollipop on my LG G3 and think it's great not had any problems runs like a dream..
