Install VLC video player from market

Then install ace stream engine from the market (may ask you to update when you 1st use it.) make sure its running in the background

download and install this apk, after installing, start this apk when ace stream is still running, will update channels if your connected to net , pick your Channel, Sky , setanta etc and choose VLC from list of players.

I think the quality of the stream is far better than Mobdro etc?

I've not got vlc player on my mx2 android box, but I've used torrent stream controller with mx player, sopcast and another external player app, the streams generally tend to freeze after a minute or so. Is this any better with vlc?
 
Did you install acestreamer? That has to be running in the background when you open torrent stream controller and I tried another player and VLC was defo better. One thing in MX Player try switching from software decoding to Hardware decoding and test that. hardware decoding incompatible with my device so I can't test it
 
anyone found sky sports news on this? Had quick look but cant see it.
 
Anyone manage to get this Acestream Engine to work on Android Lollipop,my upgrade to 5.0 has been a disaster On my Nexus 7 2012, Acestream and everything else worked perfect on KitKat before,anyone considering this OS.upgrade on Nexus 7 2012 tab beware Lollipop is very poor for me.
 
My Android box is kitkat and acestream doesn't work for me either, don't know why.

Mines KitKat, i already had Acestream installed but when i went to watch a channel it directed me to download an updated version. Then i just use the video player that came with Android. :)

Just testing this with acestream running and mx player, absolutely spot on now, cheers for the heads up.
 
just put this on tablet today got it working apart from sly sports one just kept saying finished then it would stop ace stream any ides?

It could be a fault at the streaming end if everything else is working, I haven't tried this yet, so I can't check it for You.

I cant seem to find ace stream engine , am I missing something mate?

i haven't tried it yet but i would think that if you play the streams in Avia player (available on play store) you should be able to chromecast the streams. I have used other apps (eg Showbox and Popcorn time) with Avia and they stream pretty good to my chromecast. I am not at home at the moment so cant give it a try but hope it helps.
