hi all

Well basically it wouldn't charge past 13% on a 10 hour charge from the plug, in the car it would charge faster but still wouldn't go past 18%.

After contacted t-mobile and being told to drop it to a ee shop so they could send it off for repair and giving me 20 pound of my bill. I decided to ring Samsung first, i explained and they thought it could be the battery and as i only had my phone for five months they sent out a battery. Well it was already at 62% when i put it in but it never saw it again lol.

Over 3 weeks ago i went into town and gave my phone to ee explaining the charging problem, they offered me an old nokia 6300 i think with the keys, my reaction was "you taking the mick". I was told that's all they offer so i couldn't even use my data roaming. Well i refused it and used my old htc desire.

Well i got my phone and charger back Wednesday. Went into the shop was given my mobile, I put the sim in and nothing, he them said "give it 10 minutes charge and ill use your charger", i came back to discover it never charged and a pin in my usb lead was bent which was sent with my phone, idiots.

He offered me a completely different charger and tried it first and it charged to 4% in 5 minutes, so i left happy.

I have charged it last night to 100% and it did drain to around 20% by 6pm. Here is my problem, i plugged it in as it was on 1% and left it for 45 minutes turned off, i came back to find it on 3%, that is not right.

Something else i noticed, anyone who has one here can help. I am sure when plugged in to charge and using it for lets say facebook or just browsing the net. The charge should still rise and not fall? i am sure before all this charging problems started it would still charge even when using it but just slower. It was still decreasing % when using facebook even when plugged in.

On the repair form it said freezing/reset/update. but the bloke in the shop said from what he read on the computer it was stripped and a new chip for the charge was installed?

Im getting fed up now i have had it nearly 6 months, i dont want it to be sent off again am i entitled to a replacement?

anyone else had this trouble? i need confirmation the phone still charges when plugged in and using it for basic uses because this one doesnt :(

thanks

Apart from pulling the battery out and doing a hard reboot I haven't found a solution either. I've had mine for 5 months and it's getting worse and worse. The screen auto rotate also fails intermittently.

Should essentially be the S3 with 1GB more internal memory but it seems far less reliable, complete pain. Stuck with a phone that's unreliable for another 18 months. Stupid enough to renew with Orange as it was cheap so have no customer care so I can't grumble too much. No such thing as a free lunch I guess. When it works properly it's superb but it's getting to HTC levels of battery usefulness.

its still under warranty then, send it off for repair.

In the end after complains and being told they will try and repair again i refused, they sent me a new phone. Fingers crossed it will last another 16 months

Yeah, I'll need to. Pulling out the battery is eventually going to knacker the battery at the very least.

Shame, it's a great phone otherwise.

I first thought it was a battery issue so i phoned samsung and they sent out a new battery but of course it wasn't the problem, i now got 3 batteries :)

good luck
