I was shopping around for a android media box and found the Sumvision Cyclone Nano media player.I brought it because it was a name i knew and had come to love i have had there micro media players which run perfect so was expecting thesame quality on this as their other media players.I must say ive been impresed with the week ive been using it.
Ordipends where you buy i got mine with the air mouse/keyboard which takes 3xAAA batterys and they lasted a week before replacing.
The interface itself once you got it plugged in and running is just like what you would see on a tablet/phone so is easy to get around if you prefer you can change the home screen to a multimedia interface. So which ever you feel comfortable with you can choose.
The model i got doesnt take micro SD but the standerd SD so i put a micro SD in a SD adaptor and it worked fine.(the slim model does come with a micro sd slot but the one i have is the standerd and two usb ports where as the slim comes with 4 usb ports)
Apps and games can be a bit hit miss at times as ive been using it intesively over the past week mainly for netflix Ok it doesnt run at full 1080p but its very clear and quiet vibrant.Sometimes there can be a seconds lag in audio with picture but again this corrects itself after a few seconds.Ive tried a few apps onit all your emulators runs fine on it run really nice and smooth and its brilliant cause you can mapp the keys on your air mouse/keyboard.
Ive tried all emulators and so far no problems.Gameloft games dont seem to want to run on the device for some reason ive tried most of their games with no working titles as of yet.
Blackmarket alpha is a funny one at first it wouldnt work but once i plugged a sd card into it it run fine.Sometimes you will have to redownload games as sometimes they say not installed but another download sorts that out. Some games work sometimes but other times they dont the fix ive found is to use advance task killer and kill background apps then retry.
on the box it says there is 2gb of memory built in but on mine ive got 4gb so thats a bonus and you can fill that up with apps if you wanted too.As there is no partition limit for apps.
Out of the box you get a old android market version but on 26/03/12 they updated which i downloaded and it now has the fully updated market. So was quiet impressed with the quickness of updateing.
At the moment it only supports flash 10.3 but hopefully soon their will be a update again.
The browsing expericne on this device is very smooth it can play vids of itv player but not of bbci i belive this is to do with silverlight tho not the actual player.4OD i havnt tried yet But will get around to it.
For £80 this box has served the purpose i needed i would of liked netflix in HD but you can have everything ive got my retro gameing fix from it so im happy.
Overall this is well worth the money and for people who cant afford a smart tv or for people wanting to browse or play games on the big screen is well worth it in all honesty.
In the box you get
Instructions
airmouse/keyboard (dependent where you buy)
HDMI lead
3 batterys
the box itself
But anyway sorry this has been long but any questions please dont hesitate to ask.
heres the website for info on the player:
