Hi M8
can you upload the serial loader for amiko mini T2/Cable please
I loader by backup image from last year in a new box and bricked box with message saying sw not suitable for this hw cant get into menu so need serial loader but cant find it
cheers alex

Here is the latest loader software attached which should be good for the T2/C and various others.

If you are using a USB to serial converter to connect to the receiver rather than a dedicated serial port (very common these in these days where built in serial ports are not!) then ideally you want a converter with FTDI chip, this should connect most every time then (assuming it's not something more terminal of course) where as the non-FTDI based ones can be very hit and miss, no harm in trying though if that's all you have.

You shouldn't need it, but good luck all the same!

Lavaman I have a amiko combined which has been flashed with some other firmware is it possible to flash it with lavatronic firmware to get channel updates on 28.2

If it's the Amiko Combo HD then yes just make sure you reflash with the latest Combo HD 'Enhanced Firmware' (it must be the Combo HD firmware for the Combo - not for any other models) and then yes you'll have the latest 28.2 East channel list available along with access via a few clicks of the remote control to online firmware and channel list updates as and when released. When you flash the firmware update make sure you choose SW+Bootloader as the update method to ensure a complete flash and once it reboots you should be ready to go.

If it's just a regular firmware update and there is nothing wrong with the receiver (you can still access menus etc.) then yes do this just the same as any other firmware update so by USB update is fine (make sure you choose SW+Bootloader as mentioned).

There is nothing special about the 'Enhanced Firmware' as such, it's just that it already contains a 28.2 East channel list and FTP details to connect to the updates server which our young lady keeps up to date with channel list and firmware updates as often as required.

Hi
thanks the serial loader worked a treat would not work with my usb to serial adaptor ,had to get old laptop out with serial port and worked first time ,can you tell me what is bravo tv I tried the sw for combo and hd t2 and see bravo iptv but asks for a code also can you tell me how to load web tv links I put a few on a txt file but when I press white button to load iptv file it says no file found ?
thanks alex

Attached is the webtv_address file which should be in the correct format to load on the Amiko HD range of receivers, it's been some time since I've even looked at this so not over familiar and the few links in the file won't actually work (I think they are left over examples from when I last did play around with it streaming over the local network) but they should give an example of what needs entering, as I say quite some time since I've tried this so give it a try out and if you don't get any joy let me know and I'll look into it a bit more.

Regarding the other service, there has been this and quite a few others going back over firmwares, no ideas on exactly what they are or where you might get a code though, I would imagine this is probably something added specifically for a provider and most likely nothing to do with the UK market so not something we'll get access to.

thanks but I get the same message file not found when I press white button to load iptv file

Yes you are right just checked it out, as I say it was a while ago I played around with this so the format looks like it's changed.

Try this new one attached, I've just tested this on a T2/C and it loads on fine, don't expect any of the links to actually work but again it makes a good example and looks a little easier to understand than the older version.

I’ve never tried the web tv on this box. It loads ok on mine as well.
Does anyone know where to get links that actually works or is it more complicated than that?
