alien 2+ cross epg crash

does anyone else have issues with cross epg on amiko alien 2+ running vix4 2.2 009 when the cross epg is set to auto update? mine crashes every night with it and I have had to set it to manual.

Is it literally a crash (is there a crash log generated) or just a spinner that needs a restart to get back to normal?

If it's the later then this is usually HDD related, though can be down to lack of available RAM and other things besides but first off what type of drive are you using to save the EPG data to?

there is nothing I can do about ram though is there? I have a 64 gb usb stick for sharefile and picons etc set up as usb and a 1 terabyte wd external hard drive set up as hdd using a usb hub to the back of the box both are mounted and set up using the vix4 software
