Does anybody know where to download a copy of the Lavatronics Enhanced software for an Amiko Micro hd se, I was mucking about with it and lost the settings during an upgrade, now can't get back onto Lavatronics server because there's no password for the ftp server and if I try to go to the download area Lavatronics site just routes me back to tha sat shop homepage even though I'm registered? Driving me bloody mental so far. Many thanks

Can't help you with the software but I think Lavatronics have made the download centre available to retailers only or something like that.

The Download Centre is only available to trade customers these days and the way the channel list updates are made available will be changing very soon (it's in final testing stages) but right now to get you going here is the latest available update for the Amiko Micro HD SE (should also work on Mini HD SE).

Please just quickly read the following so the update goes according to plan:

There are two files in the attached zip ASTRA-282E-101016-MICROSE_MINISE.abs and LOAD THIS FOR MISMATCH ERROR.abs.

Update by USB and first try loading the file ASTRA-282E-101016-MICROSE_MINISE.abs making sure you choose SW + Bootloader as the update method - If all goes to plan and no error messages then great, the update will complete, the receiver will reboot and when it boots back up your channel list will be in place.

If when loading the above update gives a Bootloader mismatch error then don't panic, nothing to worry about. Simply load the LOAD THIS FOR MISMATCH ERROR.abs first then once that's complete load the ASTRA-282E-101016-MICROSE_MINISE.abs again and this time you should have no error and it will load as normal - Please ensure you choose SW + Bootloader as the update method in all cases, it's important!

Hope this helps get you up and running. :)

Hi, firstly thank you for any help. I've got the box running and can update and downgrade the software ok, have had 2.3.40 - 2.3.90 on the box and all is fine, it's just during an upgrade I lost the ftp settings, it worked earlier and logged onto the server ok. The files above won't load, the main file shows "Check software version error" and the mismatch file shows "Bootloader version mismatch, please check" both progged as sw + b/loader....bloody contraption :)

Load the attached file which is specic to the Micro HD SE (might be the MISMATCH file I attached before is not for the Micro HD SE - can't be 100% sure at the moment, sorry). The one attached definatly is, flash this first (SW+Bootloader) then the above main file and this should do the job.

If you still have an issue then post back up with any details and in the morning I'll get myself setup with a Micro HD SE and go through this to see if we can work out what's happening.

Where did you get the 2.3.90 firmware from? Could you post this up for me please so I can test this out as it doesn't seem to be a version I have - from there I should be able to work out what needs doing.

Hi, I picked up the SW from h**p://amikoreceiver.com/amiko-minihd-se/

Ahhhh OK makes sense now, that firmware is third, third party (if there is such a thing) and it's known to have some issues...

Unfortunately now though the only way you can get back to where you need to be is via RS232 recovery, is yours a receiver with the RS232 recovery port on or not? If it's got one it'll be a headphone jack type port near to the LNB input.

Headphone jack, off to fleabay for a lead, many thanks for your help though and will update as and when lead arrives, the box is working at the mo but having issues saving a channel list....but that's another story....to be continued, lol

I've attached the guide for RS232 recovery for when you are ready, the guides for the Combo but the process itself is exactly the same except for you must use the correct recovery software for the chipset, so I've also attached the correct version for use with the Amiko Micro HD SE.

Lol, great minds think alike, I've already d/l the make alive software :) huge thanks for all your help with this, as I said the box is up and running but I do like to muck around, I did expect an rs232 recovery

As 2.3.90 is moody, could you recommend where to d/l good f/w? I d/l'ed 2.3.90 from the amiko receiver site so thought it would be ok? Thanks

Stick with the ones I originally attached and they will be fine, once you are on that then future online updates with later firmware will be possible.

You need to load the MISMATCH file as a one time USB update to get you on to the new bootloader version, it's important to do this because you won't be able to use future firmware releases without which means you'd be stuck with old firmware and (most likely) an old channel list. Normally you won't need to go to these lengths on an update but it's just timing that this happens to be the case this time round.

The Amiko site itself for firmware is perfectly fine but the problem is it's 'stock' firmware so will only support offical Conax viewing cards and nothing more plus you won't get online channel list / firmware updates. You should be looking for the EMU version of the same firmware but remember unless it specifically says so it's not likely to have online update server details built in (that work in any case)... Stick with the version I attached and it should have all you need to get you going and keep going in the future if/when the new type of update system is introduced.

Just started here and hoping those downloads work! Been looking for a working fw since lavatronics went trade only! thanks

Thanks for this!! I lost my ftp messing around upgrading but this fixed it all! Totally worth going premium, thanks lavaman

Im a complete and utter novice at all this... my dad gave me a box, the Amiko Micro HD SE. He'd been trying to tinker around with it and updating it's firmware. He remembers downloading a version by someone called Dekolte (??Spelling) but when he flashed his new firmware he discovered it wasn't set up to scan for UK sats... just Russian/eastern European ones?

Anyway he freaked and went to his local sat box shop and got a new box with all the bells and whistles... and that's how i've ended up with this box.

So my plan is to flash the original firmware onto it which he believes was Lavatronics Enhanced firmware... so I purchased the leads mention above and am about to embark on my mission to fix it! still need a to reach my milestone 5th post before I can see the instructions for the cable flash method.

(sorry for hijacking this thread!!... Just seemed most appropriate to my situation!)
